How do I know if my loved one qualifies for services?

We work with individuals who receive state Medicaid waiver funding, including Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) waivers, as well as private-pay clients seeking in-home support. Contact us and we can help you understand the available options.

How are your direct support professionals and caregivers vetted?

Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities. All True Comfort Care staff complete a rigorous screening process that includes state and federal criminal background checks, child abuse clearances, motor vehicle record checks, and CPR and First Aid certification. Our team also receives ongoing specialized training tailored to each individual’s support plan.

Can a family member or friend be hired as my caregiver?

Yes. Under certain state waiver programs and participant-directed care options, eligible family members or friends may be hired and compensated through True Comfort Care. They must meet our hiring requirements and complete all required state-mandated training.

How do we get started with care?
  1. Initial consultation: Contact us by phone, through your support coordinator, or through our website to discuss your family’s needs.
  2. In-home assessment: We schedule a visit to meet your family and support coordinator, review the Individual Support Plan (ISP) or personal goals, and identify an appropriate caregiver match.
  3. Care plan implementation: We finalize the schedule, introduce your caregiver, and begin services with ongoing supervisory check-ins.
